Even without doors and only one windshield, it was slowly becoming apparent how the smart forfour of the 453 series should become.
The taillights were equipped with LEDs for the first time, the charging port at the front right and the seats from smart forvision further refined. Technically the actual study was probably still based one the smart ED3, but it eventually became the smartEQforfour.
